Should I do a phd?
I have stopped thinking about the phd for a couple of months... until I went back to school a few days back and I started talking to people. I really like academia life, the environment, the freedom and the ability to do your own research. But I'm still not convinced that I can or should do a phd. Oh well. I'm distracted!
That aside, I had a great time catching up with friends. Met M, T and S for lunch, and we were discussing T's girl troubles and S's upcoming japan trip. M's supervisor is leaving, so he's also having a difficult time ahead. Then I met NH, and till today I wonder why it's much easier to talk to him as a student or friend, instead of working with him. I remembered how fed up I was. But what's past is past
Anyway, after that I had a quick chat with R too. Perhaps the only soul in the campus who lives without a handphone and insists on not having one. I miss these peeps! Hope we'll keep in contact!
